Day 2

My Journey to GMAT preparation started from yesterday i.e. 7th April '12.
With an aim to achieve a 760+ score, today I started with a sample GMAT from Veritas.

While giving the test, I seemed quite comfortable. I kept thinking the test is too simple compared to the actual GMAT. Confidently, I completed the whole test imagining I would easily get a 650 to 700 score...
When the test was completed, I got the shock of my life !!!

Score - 480 [Score Range: 200 - 800]
Quant - 32 [Score Range: 0 - 60]
Verbal - 20 [Score Range: 0 - 60]
Analysis of an Issue - 3.5 [Score Range: 0 - 6]
Analysis of an argument 4.5 [Score Range: 0 - 6]

Learning: GMAT is not an easy test and over-confidence is surely going to bring me down with a bang !

So now the journey starts with a benchmark score of 480... Have to take it between 760 to 800... so on an average have to increase the score by 300 points !!!
The road is tough... but I have my hardwork and self-confidence...

With best wishes and faith in God...

Lets start running

Jai Gurudev :-)

Keep Smiling !!!

Completed Half of My life Today

Hi friends...
Starting this blog on my 25th birthday (16th Feb)... Taking an average life span of 50 years, today I seem to have lived half of my life...!!! Didnt even realize how these 25 years were spent, and so will happen for the next 25, I think so.

The first 25 years were full of care-free life, protected by parents... now the tables are turned and its my turn to protect my family and live a responsible life.

Transformation in thoughts and actions are very much visible after becoming an earning citizen of Independent India. Taking my own case, then my first bday at my Babrala township had a participation of more than 20 friends - all in the mood of fun - just out of college life and ready to rock !!! My second bday had reduced participation and lesser number of friends. Today was my third bday in this township and only 5 of my friends turned up. But happy that at least there were some. Another friend of mine, 2 years senior, had a turn-up ratio of only one friend !!!

This behaviour of human psychology determines that as time passes, we tend to forget making fun in life. This is more evident in the testosterone loaded ones than the fairer sex. I missed my life-partner at this instance - she is full of life and always tended to make my life beautiful from a monotonous one. I think god created wives to balance the fun part in life - in absence of which the counterparts would be living quite a serious and dull life. Thankyou dear for being there always :-)

Last, but not the least, today I tell myself to look at those who do not have anyone in their life to make themselves feel special. "Feeling Special" is a need of every human being which enhances self-confidence. A happy husband-wife pair plays a crucial role in meeting this primary need of human civilization.

With every person becoming financially independent, the institution of family is breaking apart. Animals/pets are becoming substitutes for humans. Friends, lets unite as humans and build on the institution of family and beyond that of "Joint Family". In times of need, humans need humans only. Lets start living a life of a human from machines.

Keep Smiling... :-)
